Correction: In an earlier posting about the lack of news content in the Effingham Herald and Effingham Now, the newspapers that cover my home county, I implied that each contained only ten pages of actual news coverage. The latest edition of Effingham Now actually has 15 pages of news and sports content, though it (like its competitor and every other newspaper) dilutes the amount of news coverage with ads.
To be fair to the Herald, the Now is a weekly, unlike the semiweekly Herald. To be fair to the Now, it got the front-page story correct, leading with what the peeps care about - South Effingham High School's football win.
